Cookie Policy
StreamScout uses as few cookies as it can — only the ones without which the site could not recognise you after a page reload. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser and receives back on the next request. It is the only way for a site to remember that you are already signed in instead of asking for your password on every page.
2. The cookies we set
sc_session — your session. Set when you sign in, it holds nothing but a random token by which the server recognises your account. Signing in is impossible without it.
lang — the interface language you chose. It holds two letters and lets pages open in the right language immediately, before any database lookup.
A temporary registration cookie — it lives for a few minutes between entering your address and confirming the code, then removes itself.
3. What we do not have
The site carries no ad networks, no social-network pixels and no external analytics. No third-party script learns anything about what you do here, because no such script is on the pages in the first place.
We count visits ourselves, without cookies: a signed-out visitor is represented by a hash that changes every day.
4. Managing them
Any cookie can be deleted or blocked in your browser's settings. Note that blocking the session cookie means signing in will not work — the server will have no way to recognise you.
