Terms of Use
These Terms govern your access to and use of the StreamScout website. By opening the site, creating an account or working with the service's data, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, please do not use StreamScout.
1. About the service
StreamScout is an analytics platform that collects and processes publicly available information about channels, broadcasts, categories and audiences on streaming platforms, and provides tools for finding channels, keeping your own contact lists and communicating with streamers on business matters.
We may improve, change or discontinue individual features at any time. We try to announce significant changes in advance, but we are not obliged to keep any particular feature available indefinitely.
2. Your account
Some features are available to registered users only. By providing information at registration you confirm that it is accurate and undertake to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your account. Tell us immediately about any unauthorised access.
An account is meant for one person. Passing access to third parties or sharing a single account between several people is not allowed.
3. Acceptable use
You must not: harvest the site automatically (parsing, scraping or otherwise bypassing the interface) outside the provided API; resell, publish or pass exported data to third parties as a product of its own; attempt to circumvent access limits or place any abusive load on the infrastructure; or do anything that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others.
The service's data is meant for your own analysis and business tasks. Individual exports and quoting with attribution are fine; systematically reproducing the database is not.
4. Contacting streamers and outreach
The tools for building contact bases and sending messages exist for good-faith business communication only. When you send messages through StreamScout or use the contacts you obtain, you alone are responsible for the content of those messages and for complying with applicable law on outreach and personal data.
Using contacts for spam, deception, malware or any message that misleads its recipient is prohibited. Where complaints are well-founded, we may restrict or close access to these tools without notice.
5. Accuracy of the data
StreamScout metrics are produced by our own algorithms from periodic measurements and are estimates. Some figures — paid subscriptions and estimated revenue in particular — are calculated and are not confirmed by the platforms or by the channel owners.
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors or completeness of the data, and we are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of the figures shown.
6. Rights to content
The interface, the structure of the database, the design and the source code of StreamScout belong to the owner of the service and are protected by law.
Platform, game and channel names, along with logos and cover art, belong to their respective owners and are used for reference only. StreamScout is not affiliated with Twitch, Kick or YouTube and does not represent them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StreamScout is not liable for lost profit or for indirect or incidental damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service.
8. Suspension of access
We may restrict or end access to the service if these Terms are breached, if we suspect fraudulent activity, or if the infrastructure is placed under excessive load.
You may stop using the service at any time and ask for your account to be deleted by writing to support.
9. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated. The current version always sits on this page and the date of the last update is shown at the top. By continuing to use the service after a change is published, you accept the new version.
